UK paddlers start the New Year right!

This group of four paddlers from York, England and one from California visited SWA and Ecuador for some tropical paddling over New Years. I guess I am getting the hang of the accent, I only had to ask them to repeat themselves a couple times a day. They kayaked ten different runs in ten days on eight classic grade IV (they say "grade" not "class"of the UK) rivers in the Quijos and Napo drainages. These photos are all just in one rapid on the Cosanga upstream of our riverside lodge Cabanas Tres Rios, imagine ten days of this! The rain has been falling lately making river selection challenging but we happily got on every run we had on our hit list. Long live the Queen and good paddlers like this from England!
